Direct Impact Grants

Are you interested in trying any of these activities:

  • Horseback Riding
  • Ballet
  • Swimming
  • Sign Language
  • Skiing
  • Bike Camp
  • Music Classes
  • Camps and other Summer Programs

Then let the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center (DSAHRC) help make this possible!  Grants can be applied to these and other therapeutic-type programs.

The Direct Impact Grants are offered to DSAHRC members who have Down syndrome so they may take advantage of a wide array of opportunities to learn new skills, become more active, and have fun!

Many DSAHRC members participate in the activities mentioned above, as well as others.  The result is that participants, young and old, find new ways to communicate, be more physically fit, and increase their self-esteem, confidence, and community involvement.

Direct Impact Grants are awarded in the amount of up to $200.00 and are available to all current dues-paying members of DSAHRC.

Grants are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to one per family per year.  Funds are limited to the amount allocated in the current DSAHRC yearly budget.

Requests must be made in writing and sent to the DSAHRC for review.  Receipts must be included with the application.  If the application is approved, reimbursement will be made directly to the family.

Please contact the DSAHRC for an application.  Allow 4-6 weeks for reimbursement.

If you have any further questions, please contact the DSAHRC at (518) 438-1113 or
